My 3 year old son started to learn his letters and numbers at 10months and he was able to retain his new found knowledge. He can sing his ABCs and also count to around 30. Not bad for a 3 year old! I've been seeing the "Your Baby Can Read" product advertised on his favorite channel: Sprout. In the commercial they show kids his age reading simple words off a card and they claim its from watching their videos. I recently put my order in for a 30 day trial of the product. Here's what they're going to send me:

Just FYI -- eToys is offering a free Transformer potato head with purchases over $50. If you're a collector, then this is right up your alley! I ordered one for my son. Ok, back to taking care of my son and newborn. Click on the link below to see the Transformers potatohead.
Ok, so I went to the doctor yesterday and he said the platelets went down again, but that they were stable (compared to pervious test results) and he didn't want to wait for them to flucuate anymore. He decided to go ahead and do the c-section today. So it's time. We are so excited to see the new addition to our family. I'm a little nervous about surgery, but I have faith that my doctor knows what he's doing and hopefully he had his coffee this morning. Wish me luck.
I have been told by my doctor that my blood platelet count is low during both of my pregnancies, but especially low during this pregnancy(my second). When your platelet levels are low it means that your blood will have a hard time clotting so the doctor will usually choose to preform a c-section instead of a vaginal birth to prevent too much blood loss. My platelets have fluctuated so frequently that it has felt like a roller coaster ride. One day they are low and may have to do the c-section as soon as possible and the next day the levels have increased to a safe level an
The Swine Flu seems to be spreading quickly so all pregnant women needs to protect themselves. The CDC has release info about the swine flu and pregnant women saying that they're not really sure what will happen if pregnant women gets the flu. But they do offer whays to protect yourself. Head over here to read about how you can protect yourself from the swine flu:
Teeth whitening solutions are usually expensive and can cost a few hundred dollars. I've seen lots of sites that offer free trials of teeth whitening products, but then charge you if you don't cancel the "subscription". These free trials cost $6.95 for the shipping and they supply you with a 30 day supply of teeth whitening products. BUT!

I started to potty train my son at 2 years and 4 months. Once he got the hang of it (in a few weeks) he was peeing and pooping on the potty. It was kind of difficult to get him to poop on the potty, but eventually he would do it. What he would do is sit on the potty for a second or two and say he was all done. He would do this over and over again every few minutes so we knew he needed to poop. He would also dance around to indicate that he had to go. He always pee'd on the potty. After 2 months of doing this he just stopped. Now he won't even
This report just came out about how more than half of the baby shampoos and lotions might contain cancer causing chemicals in it! The amount found in the shampoos and lotions are trace amounts and according to Johnson & Johnson they say "all our products meet or exceed the regulatory requirements". Here is the original article from The Washington Post. I know for sure I'm going to stop using the baby shampoo until I find out if it's really safe for my child.
Since I am a homemaker and have limited time to do any work, I decided to blog and see if I could make a little extra cash to help pay the bills. Blogging with a few ads placed here and there have brought in pennies and haven't really worked out for me (yet). So what I've decided to do is try my hand at affiliate marketing. I've been reading a lot lately about affiliate programs and I've decided to go with UniqueLeads to see if it'll bring in a little extra cash.
At about 6 to 8 months old I started to teach my son his letters and evenually he became interested in the numbers too. I began by put the bath toy letters and numbers in the tub with him while he bathed. He loved those things. He would take them everywhere with him, in the car, the supermarket, I mean everywhere. Still at 2.5 years old he carries his letters with him. Anyways, when he was younger in the bath he would hold up a letter up (and want to know what it was), I would tell him the letter and the sound until he could say it. In no time he knew all
Every baby shower requires that you play some baby shower games. Here are some of the games I played at my baby shower. My mother set them up and everyone at the shower had a great time playing them.
I recently signed my 2year 5 month old son up for an art class at My Gym. His good friend's Mother told me about it because she had signed her daughter up for the class and since our children play so well together she thought they would enjoy taking the class together. So we attended our first class which consisted of my son and three other children. My son was very hyper, he hadn't seen his friend in over a week so he was really excited to see her. I'll admit he wasn't paying close attention when he got there. Before class started the instructor told a little
I recently moved balances from two of my high interest credit cards to the Discover card which has no interest for six months. This gives you some time to try and pay down the balance before interest is assessed to your account. This should probably only be done when you have a manageable balance that can be paid off quickly so than you really do benefit and save on the interest charges.
I'm in my 20th week or so in my pregnancy and about two weeks ago my husband and I found out the sex of our second child. It is a very nerve racking experience. The waiting during the ultrasound was crazy. If the baby is not in the right position it can be hard for the doctor to tell the sex of the baby. So our baby was not cooperating at first. It's legs were crossed and than the hand was between the legs. The doctor asked an assistant for her opinion too and finally he said "well the penis is not prominent so the baby either has a very small penis
I started potty training my son two weeks ago. My son is 2 years and 5 months old. Since I am 5 months pregnant and I don't want to have two kids in diapers I figured it was a good time to get started on potty training him. So on Saturday morning (when my husband was home to help) I took the diaper off for good and put underwear on him. I told my son no more diapers now he was becoming a big boy. I sat him on his little potty several times during the day (every 15 minutes).

You pay nothing for the shipping you just have to wait for the product to arrive at you local store and pick it up when it does. You can save a lot of money on shipping costs this way.
